Court Strong is an Associate Professor of Atmospheric Science at the University of Utah. His research focuses on atmosphere-cryosphere interactions, where the cryosphere is the frozen part of the climate system including mountain snow pack and sea ice. He studies climate change using a hierarchy of statistical and physically-based numerical modeling frameworks ranging from single-equation models up to fully coupled global climate models. He collaborates with mathematicians and hydrologists to investigate how climate change affects stakeholder-relevant outcomes including future water quality and water supply criticality.
