Dr. Dupont is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Utah State University and has more than 35 years of experience teaching and conducting applied and basic research in environmental engineering at the Utah Water Research Laboratory at Utah State University. He received a BS degree in Civil Engineering, and MS and PhD degrees in Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Kansas, Lawrence before joining the Water Research Laboratory at USU in 1982. Dr. Dupont is currently the Principle Investigator on a U.S. EPA funded project evaluating the feasibility of stormwater harvesting via distributed Green Infrastructure in Northern Utah, as well as a USDA funded project evaluating health risks associated with the use of reclaimed water for urban agriculture. He maintains an active teaching and research role within the CEE Department at USU, and is the Faculty Advisor for a student design team that was awarded second place in the 2018 international student design competition sponsored by the national Water Environment Federation and the local Water Environment Association of Utah.
